The exclusive Commonage Villas offer sweeping panoramic lake and mountain views over Queenstown’s town centre. Balconies, terraces and huge windows make the very most of the inspiring surroundings and the stunning decor exudes opulence and style. Ideal for families or groups of couples travelling together, these spacious penthouse style villas feature all the luxuries and comfort of home but with views you cannot find anywhere else in the world.

All our Commonage Villas have 3 bedrooms each with their own beautifully appointed en-suite bathroom. Depending on the season, several can be booked as a 1-bed or 2-bed option and some even as a 4-bedroom villa (maximum 9 guests with additional bedding, and available upon request). Large open plan living, dining and kitchen areas are perfect for entertaining while schist stone gas fireplaces and underfloor heating keep the temperatures comfortable all year round.

There are two villa types available each with the same layout but varying in size. The larger of the two, the Grand Promenade Villa spans 321 square meters while the Promenade Villa offers all the same luxury in a more intimate setting spanning 258 square meters.

Whilst both options offer the same stunning location and the outstanding vistas Queenstown is synonymous with, as the name suggests, the Grand Promenade options are larger in general but most noticeably in the living, dining and bedroom areas.

The more defined lounge, dining and kitchen areas within the Grand Promenade options make them the ideal option for larger families. This vast, open-plan space allows those interested in preparing a feast in the entertainer’s kitchen the option to do whilst the rest of the group can relax at their leisure, either in front of the roaring fireplace or alfresco style on the lake and mountain facing balcony.

The Promenade Villas have a slightly more intimate design than the Grand Promenade Villas but retain all the luxury and refinement for which the Commonage is renowned.

The Master Bedroom

The main focal point for many, each villa features a spacious master suite complete with an en-suite bathroom. Situated independently on the top floor of each villa and therefore ensuring a certain degree of privacy, the master undoubtedly offers the best view in the house.

The Living Area

The lounge areas exude sophistication and comfort. Each is elegantly designed, featuring state of the art Smart Television system including Sky TV and Netflix functionality as well as full surround sound. When you’re not out and about enjoying the great outdoors Queenstown is famous for, you can be safe in the knowledge that an afternoon in front of the fire in your luxury space is the perfect alternative.

In the immediate vicinity and directly around the corner from The Commonage Villas, you will find the start of the Queenstown Hill Walking Track, a 2-hour return hiking trail offering a further elevated view of the entire region.

All of the villas at The Commonage offer spectacular lake and mountain views.

Each villa is equipped with full laundry facilities including a washing machine (washing powder provided), dryer, iron, ironing board and clothes rack.

Yes, there is a gas fire located in the living room. Additional heating features include underfloor and under-tile heating throughout the villa with heated towel rails in the bathrooms.

There is the electric heat pump/air conditioning unit in the living room.

Alpine Supermarket and Henry’s on Shotover Street are closest, followed by Fresh Choice on Gorge Road and Raeward Fresh on Robins Road.

SKY TV (including sports and movies) is included and NETFLIX is available provided you have your own user subscription.

Yes, free unlimited Wi-Fi is included.

In our 3-bedroom villas, 7 guests are the maximum that can be accommodated (utilising rollaway bed at an additional cost). In our 4-bedroom villas (3 available) – up to 8 guests can be accommodated.

Any guest making a booking must be over 25 years of age and all/any guests not accompanied by a parent or guardian must also be over 25 years of age. Children under 3 years of age (selected as infants at the booking stage) stay for free using existing bedding.

Each villa comes equipped with 3x king beds. At least one can be made up as 2x single beds on request with alternative variations in the 4-bedroom villas.

A gas BBQ is not included.
