What is the Location in relation to the CBD? The villas are a 10-15 minute walk to downtown; allow more time for the return as the village is uphill from the CBD. Your accommodation includes a complimentary return taxi from your villa to the town centre for each day of your stay.
Do all the villas have the same views? Due to the location/elevation of the village, each villa enjoys stunning lake and mountain views.
Can the villas sleep more than 6 people? Yes our 4 bedroom villas sleep up to 8 and in some cases a rollaway bed is available for an additional guest in our 3 bedroom villas or a portacot available for an infant.
Is there free parking? Parking is free. Each villa has a private lock up garage. Additional guest parking is available.
Is there free WiFi? Unlimited WiFi access is available.
What is a self-catering Villa? The Commonage Villas have fully provisioned kitchens and laundry facilities.
Can I speak to a real person? Assistance is available via telephone 7 days a week 8am to 8pm NZ time.
Can I arrange a cot/highchair to be put in the villa? Yes a variety of baby care is available to be hired directly, or we can assist with outside hire.
Do you have airport pickup service or taxi transfers? Staysouth Concierge can assist in booking airport transfers.
Is breakfast included? Breakfast is not included in the rate, however we do offer a range of services including pantry stocking and private chefs at an additional cost.
Do you offer concierge services? Our concierge team can assist in booking your Queenstown adventures (advance notice appreciated).
Can I arrange a private chef? We have a selection of experienced chefs available to cater for your every culinary requirement at an additional cost (advance notice required).
Can I have a massage arranged? We have a selection of professional and experienced on call therapists that can be arranged for in house massages at an additional cost.
Can I arrange ski rental? Our skilled technicians will come to your villa when it suits you, professionally fit your equipment and have you ready for your day on the slopes to save you time waiting in lines.
Are the Commonage Villas for me? Commonage Villas cater for all, accommodating from 6-60 guests across the Village.
What do I need for check in? You are emailed an Arrival Letter approx 10 days before check in, containing allocated villa number, access code and other relevant information.
What happens if I need something after hours? If it is an emergency situation and you require assistance, you can call an Afters Hours number. Alternatively, you may email and assistance will be provided first thing the next day.
Where do I park if I have a Van? Each villa has a private lock up garage. Additional guest parking is available. All Garage heights are 223cm.
Will I pay a peak rate during school holiday or events? Overnight rates fluctuate throughout the year according to occupancy and demand. Minimum stay policies may apply during peak times.
What if I want servicing? Is servicing included in the overnight rate? Daily servicing is available at an additional cost to the overnight rate.
Does Staysouth charge an online booking fee? A card fee reimbursement charge will apply to payments made via card and a landing fee applies to international bank transfers.
Do I need a credit card to make a booking? All bookings require a valid credit card to be provided/held as security in case of damage to the property.
What is your cancellation policy? A refund of 50% of deposit paid is payable if a booking is cancelled more than 30 days prior to check in. No refund applies if cancelled within 30 days of check in date.
What payment methods does Staysouth.com accept? Staysouth.com accepts all major credit cards in addition to bank deposits – note fees can apply.
What time is check in? Standard check in time is anytime from 3pm.
What time is check out? Standard check out time is by 10am.

Is there reception? There is no onsite reception. Please refer to your emailed Arrival Letter for access information such as allocated villa, door code and wifi access codes.
How do I get to the Ski Fields from the Commonage Villas? We can arrange for a private transfer to collect you at you villas and drive you to a ski field of your choice. Alternatively, the local ski buses leave from downtown Queenstown at many scheduled departure times depending on the ski resort of choice.
