The annual Routeburn race will welcome athletes from all over on the 28th April 2018 to race one of New Zealand’s most scenic tracks, climbing 1127m above sea level.
Set in the Fiordland National Park, the Routeburn Classic invites an exclusive 350 athletes to compete on the world famous 32km Routebourn Track.
Fiordland is renowned for its tough weather and athletes will be exposed to the extreme elements. This has meant snow, ice and intense rain in past years giving athletes a good test in wilderness conditions.
The race offers drastic changing terrain from lush native bush to an exposed alpine environment, a challenge for even the fittest of athletes.
